Denali | May 2015

Denali is one of the few places on earth that makes me feel that I have arrived to on another planet. Its beauty is something you can describe with words nor photos. It truly is remarkable from landing in the K2 glacier plane at base camp all the way to the summit standing at 20,341 feet above sea level.

One wrong step will lead you deep into an endless crevasse, but the mountain Gods were on our side as we summited in only nine days and hiked from high camp to base camp in one push to leave the mountain in only ten days.........

Teaser from the climb of Mt. McKinley or Denali by the MTJM.org team. Climbing to raise a million dollars and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis. Fourth of the Seven Summits. With plans for 20+ days on the mountain, and only one successful summit for the year the team of Tommy, Mark, Jeff and John moved up and down Denali in a quick 10 days when a weather window opened. Tommy, Mark and Jeff had a successful summit while John turned back to high camp around 18k when he started having symptoms of moderate altitude sickness. Special thanks to Chris Tomer weather forecaster for the Seven Summits. http://www.tomerweathersolutions.com Shot with Canon 5D Mark iii Panasonic GH4 Zeal HD Camera Goggles GoPro 3 and 4 Canon 24-105
